The Interactive Television Alliance is an independent, self-funding, non-profit trade and professional organization representing the broad interests of the entire ITV industry.
There is no other single organization that represents the full range of concerns for the ITV industry in the US. Many ITV companies currently belong to a number of associated organizations. NATPE, the Television Academy and Producers Guild represent the content side. CEA, SMPTE, and the ITAA represent technology and standards. NAB and NCTA represent distribution. And ANA, AAAA, CTAM and the IAB represent advertising and marketing. We intend to collaborate actively with all of them as we advance the industry.
The ITA focuses on tangible value. We encourage public demand for ITV services by instituting a sponsor-funded public awareness campaign-- including a 30 minute TV show, print supplements, e-mail marketing, and public demonstrations of ITV technology. We provide corporate business services-- including a centralized scheduling service during industry conferences, industry directories with referral service, and a job availability exchange. We provide a communication hub-- between members, outside organizations, and government agencies. Any company or individual who joins as a member... should be able to use the organizational structure to create value and revenue way beyond the cost of membership. The ITA will always keep this as a primary focus.
