 QS公布2012年世界大学分专业排行榜（QS_World_University_Rankings） |
史上最大规模的世界大学分专业排名 竞争愈演愈烈
London, 28th June 2012
2012年QS世界大学分专业排名为有史以来同类排名中规模最大的，今年有一些新的有实力的竞争者入围了该排行榜。
今年的排名统计了高达29门专业，创历史记录。麻省理工大学和哈佛大学分别在11门专业上位居排行榜榜首。紧随其后的是牛津大学（在3门专业上排名第一）、斯坦福大学（在3门专业上排名第一）和剑桥大学（在1门专业上排名第一）。不过，今年排名的主要看点不是传统英美精英大学，而是其他大学的表现。
来自17个不同国家的大学至少在一门专业领域进入了排名前20强，这些国家分布在世界五大洲，包括美国、英国、澳大利亚、加拿大、瑞士、意大利、法国、德国、荷兰、爱尔兰、瑞典、中国、新加坡、香港、韩国、日本和巴西。工程、数学、化学和材料科学专业上的强校有四分之一来自亚洲。东京大学在土木工程专业排名世界第一，新加坡国立大学、北京大学、香港大学和东京大学均至少在一门专业上进入了世界前10强。

“亚洲、澳洲和欧洲部分地区的国家加大了研究支出，以促进创新，”John O’Leary说道，“特别是金砖国家，它们将高等教育视为经济增长计划中的核心环节。”
印度有两所大学首次入围工程专业前30强，中国的表现不容小觑，该国的大学在17个专业上入围了世界大学排名前30强。巴西凭借圣保罗大学在今年的排行榜中崭露头角。圣保罗大学在6门专业上跻身世界大学排名前50强。
澳大利亚的大学在11门专业上进入了排名前10强。多伦多大学在加拿大过所大学中表现最佳，该校在5门专业上进入世界前5强。英国有13所大学至少在一门专业上排名进入前20强，不过这些学校中仅有三所大学排名最好的是科学和技术专业。
QS世界大学分专业排名基于论文引用的最新统计数据和对近5万学者和雇主的调查。

Ben Sowter
Sowter is the Head of Research at QS, QS Intelligence Unit. He holds a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Nottingham, where he was also awarded the Union Prize for outstanding contribution to the student union and served as chairman of the Nottingham University Debating Society. Ben is fully responsible for the operational management of all major QS research projects and is actively involved in all the collection, compilation and tabulation of all the data that lead to, amongst others, the World University Rankings research in which he has been involved since its initial inception in 2004. A frequent contributor to the press, Ben’s opinion on global education trends and his expertise is used regularly by major global publications. |
