Chinese universities move up in QS World University Rankings® after largest ever survey of academics and employers
- 8th annual QS World University Rankings® published 00:01 GMT+1, 5th Sept 2011 at www.topuniversities.com; global top 300 universities based on six indicators
- Surveys of over 33,000 global academics and 16,000 graduate employers are largest of their kind ever conducted
- Peking University (46) is joined in the global top 50 by Tsinghua (47), as Fudan moves into the top 100; eight Chinese universities make top 300, one more than last year
- Cambridge ranked number one for second consecutive year ahead of Harvard, MIT, Yale and Oxford
